How is it already August?! I really want this month to stretch out for like, oh, I don’t know, maybe 5 years or so? LOL. Seriously though, we have been enjoying our summer in San Diego so much and we don’t want it to end! If you’ve ever spent a summer in the humid southern states, you will understand exactly where we’re coming from!

Since I still work central time hours, my business hours (for my day job, I mean) end at 3pm, and so do John’s, so we’ve been able to really squeeze a lot of fun in during the last few months! One of our favorite things to do is walk or jog down to the beach or the bay and enjoy the sunset and fresh air by the water.

While we were getting ready to walk down to the bay yesterday I figured we might as well bring the camera and shoot some blog pics by the water since I loved the dress I was wearing.

This dress is the newest piece we literally just added to SkirtSociety this week, so you guys should be able to grab one before they’re gone (stuff has been flying off the racks lately- thank God!) Even though this dress isn’t very stretchy, the generous amount of fabric makes the dress very comfortable and perfect for everything from lounging to bike riding. Also- it has pockets and we all know how awesome those are.

I paired the dress (called the Addison dress on the site) with the basket purse of my dreams (I found it online for $30, which is significantly lower than the other two basket bags I’ve had my eyes on at Zara and Free People) *insert heart eyes here* and the cutest mustard slide sandals I’ve ever laid my *heart* eyes on (and they’re only $31!). I highly recommend both of these items, as they both exceeding my expectations by far! I was especially hesitant about ordering shoes from an overseas supplier, but honestly, the quality is amazing so far (I’ve worn then three times since I received them).

I hope you are all enjoying the summer as much as I am and thank you for stopping by my blog! Click or tap the little heart to let me know you made it this far!
